Service Description

This Intermediate survival training course takes the skills from our Basic course and builds on them to enable you to operate effectively with only 10 items. This course is a 3-day course and will put students on a wilderness adventure with minimal equipment, water, and food. Students must work as a team to negotiate the skills required to complete this course. This 2-day course focuses on the basics and priorities of survival: Positive mental attitude Equipment (10 necessary items) Shelter/Rope Skills Fire Craft Wilderness food and wild edibles This course is a “INTERMEDIATE" survival course; we encourage proper equipment, preparedness, and the expectation of rescue within 72 hours. **MUST HAVE COMPLETED THE BASIC SURVIVAL COURSE TO ATTEND* **********OVERNIGHT STAY IS REQUIRED************ Students MUST bring the following items: Backpack or Rucksack with the following (You will have to carry everything you see below) CAMPING EQUIPMENT for your overnight stay, NO TENTS ALLOWED Sleeping Mat Drinking Water Chair Clothing for Weather, (Bring Rain Gear if in the Forecast) Toiletry Items Sturdy Shoes/Boots (No sandals, open toe shoes or sleeveless shirts). Head lamp with spare batteries Insect repellent Bring any food & snacks that you need (NO MEALS PROVIDED) PLUS, MANDATORY EQUIPMEN BELOW: 8x10 or larger Tarp (or similar plastic cover) 2 Mylar Survival blanket 100 ft para cord (550 cord) or similar cord Compass Orienteering style 2 large trash bags Whistle 1 Ferro Rod/Magnesium fire starter 1 dozen Cotton Balls Bandana Hunting/survival style knife FIXED BLADE Only..
